Fort Atkinson, Portage, Reedsburg and Watertown Campuses

Madison College's Career Discovery youth camps offer fun, interactive educational experiences for children in grades 5-12. Our camps are designed to enhance your child's knowledge and personal growth with exciting hands-on classes, labs and experiences customized for youth.

  • 3-day camps run Tuesday – Thursday
  • 5-day camps run Monday – Friday
  • Enrollment based on current grade level
  • Some camps have off-site field trips
  • Camp cost vary and will be listed on camp
  • Students that are eligible for free/reduced lunch at their school, may qualify for a scholarship

Beginning Metal Fabrication and Welding Camp | Grades 8-10

Campers will design and build projects from start to finish, creating pieces they can show off with pride! They’ll also visit local manufacturers for behind-the-scenes tours and demos.

Fun With Torches | Ages 11-14

Help your child explore the world of welding with our fun and hands-on summer camps! Campers will design and build projects from start to finish, creating pieces they can show off with pride! They’ll also visit local manufacturers for behind-the-scenes tours and demos.

High School Advanced Welding Camp | Ages 13-16

Help your child explore the world of welding with our fun and hands-on summer camps! Campers will design and build projects from start to finish, creating a community project! They’ll learn more advance welding processes.

Camp Triple C | Ages 11-14

This camp will Introduce student to basic manufacturing processes and to CAD/CAM/CNC Manufacturing processes.

Emergency Services Exploration Camp | Ages 14-17

Designed for students in grades 8-11, this camp will explore emergency services including CPR, trauma and medical emergencies, and first responder wellness. Participants will work with our instructors to differentiate between minor and major injuries and provide emergency treatment in some life-threatening situations.

Mini Manufacturing World Camp | Ages 13-17

This camp will offer a hands-on experience of all the different departments that help create, assemble, and distribute products. This simulation will take students through real world scenarios and create a better understanding of all the exciting career opportunities within manufacturing. Students will work directly with professionals in the areas of Accounting, Sales & Marketing, HR, Purchasing, Quality, Safety, Maintenance, Warehouse, Operations, Engineering and IT. An optional 4th day will include tours of local manufacturing companies.

Intro to Nursing Camp | Grade 8-11

Designed for students in grades 8th- 11th, our 1-day summer camp provides hands-on experience in our state-of-the-art nursing lab. Participants will work directly with our instructors for a fun and educational introduction to nursing, including a real-life simulated emergency. A camp t-shirt will also be provided. Please bring your own lunch.

EMS Camp Grades | 8-11

Designed for students in grades 8-11, this camp will explore emergency services including CPR, trauma & medical emergencies, and first responder wellness. Participants will work with our instructors to differentiate between minor and major injuries and provide emergency treatment in some life-threatening situations. Please bring your own lunch.

Science Camp | Grades 6-8

Explore Madison College Science classes!

Chemistry: Students will participate in safe, hands-on laboratory activities designed to explore how chemistry is related to the world around us. Anatomy and Physiology: Students will explore the anatomical structures and physiological functions of the heart and brain. Students will dissect sheep brains and pig hearts to investigate the internal anatomy of each organ. They will carry out pinning exercises to master the major structures of both organs and learn about general functions of the lobes of the brain and the chambers of the heart. Microbiology: Students will learn about microbes and participate in hands on activities with safe bacterial species. They will stain and observe bacteria using a microscope, identify characteristics of bacteria, transfer bacteria from broth to agar plates, and do an experiment to understand the effectiveness of antibiotics. Please bring your own lunch.

Aviation Camp | Grades 7-12

Students will gain a deeper understanding of the field of aviation through a wide range of fun activities.

Nursing Career Camp | Grades 8-11

Designed for students in grades 8th- 11th, our 3-day summer camp provides hands-on experience in our brand new state-of-the-art nursing labs. Participants will work directly with our instructors for a fun and educational exploration of careers in nursing, including real-life simulated emergencies.

Emergency Services Exploration | Grades 8-11

Designed for students in grades 8-11, this camp will explore emergency services including CPR, trauma and medical emergencies, fire and police, and first responder wellness. Participants will work with our instructors to differentiate between minor and major injuries, and provide emergency treatment in some life-threatening situations. They will also get to explore the different opportunities for careers in firefighting, EMS, and law enforcement.

Youth EMS Exploration | Grades 3-6

Designed for students in grades 3-6 and their parents, this 90 minute morning session will briefly explore careers in emergency services including EMT/Paramedic, fire protection, and law enforcement. Participants will get to talk with local professionals in each of these fields and see field demonstrations from each profession.
